Insight, Advocacy and Action are more than fancy words in our logo - this is our purpose! Mounting public and private pressure for health care reform, the growth of the elderly population, and limited financial resources have created a force for advocacy. NASL awareness and advocacy efforts serve to deliver the control and influence required to give your organization and others a compelling voice for a real change.

The Importance of Advocacy

NASL’s legislative victories in the past have primarily been the result of direct member involvement, a strong Washington presence, and a focus of association resources on priority issues determined by the membershipThe role of an informed constituent is a crucial one.  You have the expertise and the local knowledge that can prove invaluable to a Congressional office considering a certain issue.

NASL encourages members to become involved, whether it’s by scheduling a meeting with your elected representative, writing a letter, or making a phone call.
